Founded in 1928 in Freeburg, IL, Wiegmann has been committed to manufacturing the best of the best when it comes to metal enclosures. Starting off with metal outlet boxes, the need for these types of protective units increased as the use of electricity grew exponentially. The company rapidly expanded and eventually relocated to Red Bud, IL in 1944. Over the years, additional manufacturing facilities became necessary and the product line continued to expand. The current 225,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Freeburg, IL maintains a tier one status and continues to uphold the values that Wiegmann was founded upon with the Hubbell name strongly supporting and contributing to the brand.
