RTD probes are a type of process sensor, and are often also referred to as Pt100 sensors or industrial temperature probes. They measure material temperature by means of the electrical resistor, made with platinum as the resistor material because of its chemical resistance, the electrical characteristics, the reliable repeatability and easy processing. RTD probes can be categorized into several types, such as Pt100 screw-in sensors, immersion probes, cable sensors, and outdoor sensors.
